Position Profile: The Withdrawal Management Co-Director (Counseling) presents great organizational and leadership skills for the program. This position will oversee the clinical team proving direct oversight to counselors and peers of the program. The Co-Director will oversee the unit’s budget in partnership with the Nursing Co-Director, and monitor admissions numbers to ensure the program is viable, and serve as a key point of coordination with the rest of Milestone Recovery. This person will serve on the overall agency leadership team and report to the Clinical Director. 


Qualifications Required: LADC, LCSW, and/or LCPC and CCS required. 2-4 years clinical supervisory experience preferred. Experience in working with unhoused/ Mental Health and SUD. Has proficiency with Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Electronic Health Records (EHRs). CPR/First Aid certification and experience with chronic substance use disorder and/or mental illness is a plus.  


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:? 

  • Responsible for the overall operations of the program 
  • Assist with hiring process of unit staff with final decision making for clinical team members (counseling and peers) 
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of clinical, providing regular feedback and coaching to all staff members. 
  • On call for staffing/electronic records, and any non-medical clinical issues 
  • Represent the Program on the Agency Leadership Team 
  • Create and monitor program budget and monitor financial performance in collaboration with Nursing Co-Director. Ultimate responsibility for program sustainability with budget. 
  • Ensure program is serving most possible clients  
  • Review overall EHR documentation in collaboration with Withdrawal Management Nursing Co-Director for errors/omissions with particular focus on clinical team requirements 
  • Manage callouts from Clinical 
  • Market and organize outreach to schools and other potential employees 
  • Update SOP's & Emergency Plans with support from Nursing Co-Director 
  • Act as the liaison of the Unit staff to ensure clean and safe unit operations 
  • Provide coaching of staff in concert with Nursing Co-Director 
  • SharePoint Administrator User for the Unit folder 
  • KIPU superuser, for creation, and editing of forms. Manage users and lock outs 
  • Liaison Between schools, MMC residency Program for shadowing and practicum opportunities 
  • Serve as point of contact for pharmacy business operations 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 


Physical demands and work environment: Freedom of movement on a regular basis. Operating basic office equipment in a normal office environment. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. May spend extended periods operating a desktop computer, requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity; physical activity requires walking, bending, standing and lifting. 


Compensation:?Compensation for this position ranges from $87,000-$90,000 annually, based on experience.?
