Construction Superintendent

CoHo Construction Management is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join our infrastructure team. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing multiple construction projects and or large IDIQ programs with multiple Task Orders and leading the staff associated with execution of the assigned projects/programs. The duties would involve life cycle support to include but not limited to program development, “cradle to grave” construction project development and while implementing and controlling quality and site safety, customer/opportunity development, proposal development, program management, engineering management, system integration, project management, execution and closeout.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Customer development and relations while performing on-site supervision daily for assigned projects
- Proposal Development support, performs site visits / bid walks and associated reporting based on site conditions and scope of work
- Manage all contractual and financial aspects of the project
- Support performance reporting, cost reports, and management reporting on the contract as required
- Assure top quality of contract deliverable submissions and ensure compliance with customer quality practices
- Prepare and submit daily project reports to include quality reporting
- Training and Mentorship of support staff (subcontractor superintendents, project and quality control managers. and administrative staff)
- Provide management services on construction Infrastructure related projects to included: customer and site coordination, subcontractor management, project sequencing and scheduling, budgeting, quality control and cost control.
- Provide pre-construction services and submittals to ensure clients’ needs are met as project development takes place.
- Support project teams with scope development.
- Participate in design reviews and value engineering exercises to efficiently and effectively deliver projects.
- Identify risk issues and avoid and mitigate as needed to ensure project remains on time and on budget.
- Reviews constructability issues and provides alternative means and methods to resolve issues.
- Create and maintain the project warranty spreadsheet and associated documents
- Provide expertise as needed to execute existing and new opportunities / projects
Essential Job Requirements:
- Education:
- 5 to 10 years’ trade / construction field experience will be considered or Bachelor of Science Construction Management or Engineering (preferred)
- Training:
- Current CQM (Construction Quality Management) Certificate (Willing to obtain within 30 days)
- OSHA 30 Certificate (Willing to obtain within 30 days)
- EM385-1-1 Certificate (Willing to obtain within 30 days)
- Required Knowledge/Experience:
- Construction project management / supervision utilizing quality and safety techniques spanning 5 + years
- Experience utilizing RMS and ProjNet
- Experience executing U.S. Military construction and infrastructure projects and programs
- Ability to travel and conduct project site visits and inspections and needed
