Position Summary:  Provides comprehensive medical care to patients in various health conditions following established standards and practices. Demonstrates necessary skills and services to ensure a seamless, high-quality patient experience. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and physicians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and diagnosing patients, prescribing treatments and medications, and monitoring the patients’ progress
  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests and explaining the results to patients.
  • Collecting and maintaining patient information such as medical history, reports, and exam results
  • Educating patients and their families about treatments and aftercare
  • Collaborating with other medical professionals and departments
  • Performing basic administrative tasks

Required Qualifications

Education and Training:

  • Medical degree and successful completion of a residency and fellowship (if applicable) in specialty
  • License and certification to practice medicine and prescribe medication in the State of Illinois
  • Physician must possess and maintain active board certification in specialty
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
