Job Description:The Opportunity
The Student Health Care Center (SHCC) at the University of Florida is seeking a Student Assistant to join the Pharmacy department.
The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Patient Check-in
- Confirm the patient’s student registration status
- Enter insurance/payment information
- Obtain patient medication allergies and medication history. Communicate findings (if any) on the top left corner of the prescription
- Patient Check-out
- Answer telephones
- Clean shelves, counter, prescription baskets, and behind computers.
- Shred confidential material
- Complete assigned outdates
- Cashiering
- Stock bags at each workstation
- Stock prescription container drawers
- Stock printers with labels and paper
Typical Schedule: Hours/days vary, 4-6 hour shifts. No shifts during break weeks and summer.

The UF Student Health Care Center Pharmacy is a full-service facility staffed by licensed pharmacists who fill prescriptions written by either in-house medical staff or licensed medical providers from other facilities.

Radiology, pharmacy, lab, and physical therapy are also on site.

Expected Salary:$14.00 hourly
