Mountain View Hospital is looking for an Licensed Outpatient Psychotherapist to join our team! 

JOB SUMMARY: The psychotherapist provides clinically and culturally competent guidance and teaches skills to individuals, couples, families, and groups who are dealing with issues that affect their mental health and well-being. Documentation of clinical work is accurate and completed on the same date as service. This individual seeks to improve upon clinical competencies through regular supervision, consultation, and continuing education.  The psychotherapist may also perform other duties in the facility as deemed necessary by TCI management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The Licensed Outpatient Psychologist)                                                          

  1.       Provide high quality, compassionate and ethical outpatient psychotherapy to patients as scheduled.
  2. Complete clinical documentation on the date of service in the electronic health record.
  3. Maintain productivity based on targeted goals set by TCI management. Work hours will be set based upon the assignments associated with each individual position.
  4. Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment.
  5. Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
  6. Complete all continuing education requirements. Stay current with updated research and best practices. Share knowledge with TCI staff in regular clinical case conferences.
  7. Be aware of community referral sources (e.g., occupational therapy) and refer when necessary.
  8. Knowledgeable regarding the various local, state and federal regulations relating to the provision of mental health services as well as TCI and MVH policies and procedures to insure compliance.
  9. Secure patient information per HIPAA standards.
  10. Provide support in completion of preauthorization’s for services as requested by administrative staff. Perform other duties as assigned (including but not limited to completion of billing forms, phone calls, and participating in case consultation meetings).
  11. Insures that the TCI department is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  12. Provides input to the manager of TCI as observations of needs for patients, providers, or the facility warrants.
  13. Attempts to resolve any patient, provider, and/or family concerns with the services provided by the psychotherapist, and ensuring concerns are reported also to TCI management with request for assistance in resolution when necessary.
  14. Behaves and dresses in a professional and courteous manner consistent with the position of a medical professional and as a representative of Mountain View Hospital.
