Senior Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document, implement, and maintain multiple applications and apps.
• Design approaches and assist in developing product enhancements (both functional and technical) that satisfy user requirement.
• Analyze information and recommend plan of action to project team members and/or stakeholders.
• Analyze and solve complex business problems.
• Gather, compile, analyze and document software and system integration requirements.
• Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can easily understand the program logic.
• Execute all phases of software application projects, including database conversions, defect removal, issue resolution, or any technical task required to ensure successful deployment.
• Prepare documents describing installation and operating procedures for deliverables.
• Troubleshoot applications and quickly resolve production issues.
• Assist team members and product users with problems.
• Identify issues and inconsistencies with data quality and creates processes to overcome system deficiencies.

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; Advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture and Business Application development
• Possess strong technical experience with LAMP, distributed web application architectures, Laravel, Node, Amazon native messaging and cache technologies.
• Possess experience with common distributed data tools in a production setting (Spark, Kafka, etc.).
• Possess experience with search/indexing systems (such as Elasticsearch).
• Possess experience with the full software development life-cycle and delivery using Agile practices.
• Possess advanced knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques to include Agile/Scrum, DevOps and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methods.
• Possess an understanding of inherently proper unit, functional and integration tests for code and services to ensure quality.
• Possess experience in analysis, design, and user interface flows, business process mapping, functional implementation and supporting Agile.
• Possess experience providing technical leadership in a complex enterprise system of systems environment.
• Be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
