Summary
The Sr. Manager, FP&A is a key role supporting DAI’s capital markets businesses, responsible for driving the financial strategy and ensuring the business units’ financial health and stability by developing budgets, forecasts and long-range plans, and performing detailed variance analysis each month to help control costs and enable business unit leaders to accelerate growth. This role involves overseeing comprehensive financial planning, detailed analysis, and insightful reporting to support strategic decision-making and enhance the company's competitive position in the market. The Sr. Manager, FP&A works closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams to align goals with business objectives. Additionally, the Sr. Manager, FP&A will play a key role in developing robust financial models, pro-forma financial statements, and other requirements as part of high-visibility projects, initiatives, and more. This role requires strong intellectual curiosity and financial modeling skillsets, as well as exceptional people skills as it involves regular interdepartmental interfacing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting of business unit P&Ls, in addition to developing an in-depth understanding of all variables that impact these related businesses
- Perform detailed variance analysis to show drivers in each accounting period, providing executives an understanding of key trends
- Interface regularly with US-based Accounting and internally-based Shared Services counterpart to ensure agreement of all numbers and accurate accounting recognition thereof
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness businesses and projects & initiates that support them to ensure most efficiency deployment of capital resources
- Provide actionable insights and strong reporting commentary, including metrics reporting
- Ad-hoc corporate project modeling, analysis and reporting
Qualifications & Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in FP&A, Finance, or a related field
- Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills required
- Strong grasp of general business, financial concepts and accounting principles
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Advanced knowledge of financial software and systems, especially major ERP & EPM solutions (e.g., SAP, MS Dynamics & Planful, Hyperion)
- Ability to travel periodically as needed, domestically and internationally
- Demonstrated attention to detail as well as the ability to summarize results
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple, often competing, interests while working independently
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to present to groups
- Proactive approach to work, while being able to act independently
EDUCATION
- Bachelor in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required
- Master in Business Administration (MBA) and/or professional certification (e.g., CPA) preferred
Hybrid: Onsite 3 days a week.
Working Conditions
Must be able to perform essential job duties. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each workday), hear the telephone, and enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
