About the role

The healthcare industry is changing rapidly with several market dynamics significantly impacting the patient care continuum. Boston Scientific sees this as an exciting opportunity to ‘Advance Science For Life’ by developing and delivering innovative, insights-based marketing to activate HCPs and patients.

The Sr. Analyst, Business & Healthcare Intelligence is a key member of the Marketing Strategy & Insights team in Corporate Marketing. This individual will have a deep knowledge of the source and usage of various business and healthcare intelligence data across our Business Units (BUs) and Enterprise partners that informs marketing decisions. They will leverage this knowledge to analyze and address key business questions, driving data-informed strategies and actionable insights. The role will report to the Group Manager of Marketing Strategy & Insights.

 

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Be an expert in our healthcare intelligence data sources (e.g., patient volume, procedure volume, claims data, competitor intelligence, pricing).  Able to evaluate data, identify trends and draw meaningful conclusions that help inform marketing decisions.
  • Data Management and Innovation: Contribute to the future state of business and healthcare intelligence by improving data ingestion, new data source evaluation, accessibility, and scalability for analytics initiatives. Evaluate AI-driven tools to collect and analyze competitor intelligence, market trends and pricing strategy. 
  • Market Modeling and ROI Analysis: Design and implement a repeatable market modeling framework to assess opportunities for indication or audience expansion. Perform ROI analysis to inform marketing investment decisions as part of a strategy recommendation.
  • Data Storytelling: Pull data, synthesize findings, and tailor presentations according to the audience. Strong presentation skills are necessary for success in this role, especially the ability to transform analysis and insights into a compelling storyline to influence decisions.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Define Corporate support on competitive intelligence and execute on that vision. Lead a community of Competitive Intelligence professionals at BSC for best practice sharing. 
  • Vendor Management: Co-manage healthcare intelligence vendor relationships with the Global HEMA team. Oversee data vendor transitions across business units, including onboarding and training for marketing stakeholders. May also manage vendors specializing in competitive intelligence and secondary market research.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with BUs to assess data usage, identify needs, and develop tailored solutions that address BU needs that align with corporate objectives. Work closely with IT and Analytics teams to translate technical findings and define technical requirements.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance, Consulting, Business Strategy, Marketing Analytics, or Business Intelligence.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience demonstrating strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and quantitative thinking.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working within Snowflake (or similar analytics platforms)
  • Must be proficient in Excel and SQL.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Life Sciences.
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience with Python.
  • Strong collaboration skills. Ability to listen and assess pain points of BU partners and work together to identify a solution is essential.
