Job Title: Youth Development Support Staff                                Department: Youth Development 
Reports to: Director of Youth Development                                                                Effective Date: 9/1/2025

Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 1:00–6:00 PM; Friday 4:00–8:30 PM
Remote Position: No

Job Summary:

The Youth Development Support Staff plays an important role in supporting the growth and success of our youth programs, including Transformations, Girls Choice (middle and high school), and Family Fun Friday. This position ensures meaningful engagement with participants, families, and community partners. The Support Staff assists with program implementation, participant engagement, and maintaining accurate program data, while also supporting the facilitation of Family Fun Fridays, workshops, and enrichment activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruiting middle school and high school girls for Girls Choice and Transformations.
  • Maintain all required engagement-related data per participant, including intake, pre/post surveys, and ongoing data collection for Girls Choice and Transformations.
  • Provide general program support to lead coordinators and the Director to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Plan and support activities, programs, and interactions for youth that focus on gender stereotypes, boundaries, socialization, and character development.
  • Facilitate Family Fun Fridays by preparing engaging and creative activities for families to enjoy together.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Strong public speaking, facilitation, training, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to connect with, motivate, and engage youth as well as collaborate effectively with professionals.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

 

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required.
  • Prior youth experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including youth, families, and communities of color.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended intervals.
