Senior Principal, Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Operations
A Brief Overview
The Sr. Principal EDM Operations will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations and strategic execution of the EDM team's objectives. This individual will be a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented leader capable of representing the EDM function effectively and driving operational excellence. They will be responsible for overseeing projects, managing team resources, handling procurement processes, and contributing to data governance initiatives. What you will do
· Operational Management:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the EDM team, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
- Act as a point of contact and representative for the EDM team, effectively communicating with stakeholders across the organization.
- Monitor the progress of EDM projects, identifying potential roadblocks and proactively working to resolve them.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, processes, and procedures.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), Monthly Operations Reviews (MOR) and metrics related to EDM operations and project delivery.
· Project Oversight:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of EDM projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular updates to you and relevant stakeholders.
- Help identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
· Team Staffing and Resource Management:
- Manage the team's staffing needs, including coordinating with People Business Partners on recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Track team capacity and allocation to projects, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training and development plans for team members.
· Procurement and Vendor Management:
- Manage all purchase orders (POs) for the EDM team, including software licenses, hardware acquisitions, and professional services contracts.
- Liaise with procurement and legal teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Track and manage vendor relationships and contract renewals.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.
· Data Governance Support:
- Participate in data governance initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of data policies, standards, and procedures.
- Assist in the monitoring of data quality and compliance.
- Support the communication and enforcement of data governance frameworks within the organization.
- Contribute to data lineage and data cataloging efforts.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred required
Experience Qualifications
