In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day.
 

The University of Cincinnati Cancer Program is looking to fill multiple patient facing positions as either Clinical Research Professional or Senior Clinical Research Professional. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities. 

 

NOTE:  This position does not qualify for Visa sponsorship.

Essential Functions

Under general supervision, the Clinical Research Profession and Senior Clinical Research Professional will provide technical support and assistance for the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office (CTO). Duties can span a broad range of activities, or can be primarily focused within one or more areas of the clinical research spectrum.

 

Study Coordination Duties:

  • Complete training and follow standard operating procedures
  • Screen patients for inclusion in study based on pre-determined criteria
  • Obtain written consent for study participation
  • Obtain, process and ship patient samples for laboratory analysis
  • In conjunction with the investigator, document and evaluate adverse events and response to treatment
  • Educate and maintain direct communication with clinical and hospital staff regarding research procedures and requirements Ensure that the patient treatment provided and data collected adhere to the study protocol
  • Actively collaborate and communicate with study sponsors  throughout the life cycle of the study to ensure compliance
  • Report data to sponsor and respond to queries
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
  • Related other duties, as assigned

 

Additional Duties for Clinical Research Professional:

  • Plan and coordinate clinical research project
  • Data Entry/Management - gather data; assist in development of reports

 

Additional Duties for Senior Clinical Research Professional:

  • Precept new hires in collaboration with the manager
  • Serve as a resource for staff 
  • Perform routine physical/clinical procedures
  • Implement procedures to collect data from patient charts, medical records, interviews, questionnaires, diagnostic tests and other sources.
  • Prepare presentations and reports that show progress, trends, recommendations and/or conclusions.
  • Act as a liaison with medical staff, University Departments, ancillary departments and/or satellite facilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree must be in a related field.
