A Day in the Life

Join our Capital Packaging team in Billerica as a Group Lead, where you’ll be at the center of packaging operations for the Affera Sphere 9 capital systems. You'll ensure that people, processes, and quality stay on track every step of the way.

In this role, your primary focus will be leading daily activities, assigning tasks, supporting training, monitoring workflow, and resolving issues to keep production moving smoothly. You’ll partner closely with supervisors, coordinators and quality teams to uphold standards, maintain accuracy in documentation, and promote a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment.

Shift: 1st / Morning

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Compensation:

• Base hourly rate: $30.50/hr

• Quarterly Operations Incentive bonus targeted at 5%

• PTO - 4 weeks / year

What You'll Do:

• Lead daily production team activities including work processes, packaging, LHR review, and other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

• Prioritize operator assignments in alignment with the build schedule to meet production goals.

• Serve as the first line of support for production issues, escalating and providing status updates to the supervisor as needed.

• Coach and mentor operators on assembly techniques, problem-solving, and continuous improvement practices.

• Assist with technical tasks including machinery setup, breakdown, and troubleshooting.

• Ensure adherence to Medtronic’s strict quality, safety, and compliance standards.

• Support inventory management activities and accurate system transactions within ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

• Contribute to process improvement efforts and provide input on adjustments to enhance team effectiveness.

Must Have / Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant manufacturing or operations experience; vocational or technical training preferred.

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High energy, strong work ethic, and adaptability to shifting priorities.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a production environment.

• Proven ability to maintain quality and safety standards while meeting production goals.
