Position Summary

This OMNI Strategy & Capabilities (S&C) Manager is responsible for the execution of the eCommerce channel strategy, leading the commercial objectives, plans and critical metrics to win in the marketplace. This role collaborates across multiple teams, such as Division, Field, Centers of Excellence, Commercial Development (CD), Shopper Insights, Finance and Sales.  The OMNI S&C Manager will also develop and deploy capabilities and toolkits that will help upskill the whole Gerber Organization on eCommerce principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve investment value, enhancing Brand eCommerce presence and forecast accuracy, achieving performance targets and improving retailer satisfaction scores
  • Champion ‘Category First’ attitude and develop plans to drive demand and conversion in the OMNI Space
  • Lead OMNI Channel Planning for Gerber brands to develop clear eCommerce Channel Strategy, identifying and recommending Infant Nutrition eCommerce/OMNI priorities and setting critical metrics for success
  • Develop and support strategies and programs to drive overall eCommerce/Omni account growth and category dominance
  • Optimize assortment (including leading category competitive analysis) and support brand eCommerce optimized stock keeping unit (SKU) development
  • Develop the Infant Nutrition investment strategy and ensure dynamic forecasts are clearly communicated to partners and handled flawlessly
  • Lead eContent and OMNI Promotional Campaign Strategies, such eSearch and Digital Shelf content strategy (with support from Sr Manager of eContent), promotional drive period campaigns and National & Customer-specific retail toolkits
  • Ensure media planning and purchasing alignment (brand and shopper) through clear communication with Brand, Marketing, and Agency Teams
  • Serve as the specialist on retailer ecosystems and capabilities for the Division- Share shopper standard methodologies across Divisions. Work to develop overall learning and education plans and upskilling the organization on existing and new capabilities

Requirements:

  • Ability to work from the VA office a few days per week required.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6 years of experience in Sales or Marketing, CPG experience helpful
  • 2 years in eCommerce space is preferred
  • Knowledge of Nestlé and its trade customer base
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time 
  • Experience leading marketing and shopper communication projects including digital and media strategies
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and/or agency partners
  • Experience using data and trends to generate insights to understand consumer/shopper behavior
  • Knowledge of key functions, their key initiatives, and their interrelationship (Sales, marketing, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Technical and Globe & IS/IT)
  • Proven knowledge of business-driving technology solutions (i.e. Nielsen, BW, Source) and internal/external industry insights and trends
  • Knowledge of core business processes and fundamentals (Sales/Distribution, Customer Planning and Managing, Financial)

Skills:

  • Strong marketing and promotion experience
  • Deep understanding of focus eRetailers and their go-to-market strategies
  • Corporate priorities, strategy, strengths, weaknesses and marketing assets
  • Ability to influence within and across divisions
  • Strong in creation and delivery of presentations and trainings
