Basic Job Functions:

Vulcraft and Nucor Detailing Center are looking for Drafter/Modelers.  Candidates must be willing to work from Vulcraft or Nucor Detailing Center's Norfolk, NE facility.  Basic functions of this position include:

Coordinating with and providing drafting/modeling services for Nucor manufacturing facilities located throughout the United States. Using customized 3D modeling software, TEKLA, a model of the project is created to ensure all components fit together correctly as part of a complete design solution.  From this 3D model, fabrication drawings and reports, bill of materials, and field construction drawings will be generated and verified.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Drafting, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Structural, Mechanical or Architectural Drafting
• 3D modeling experience using Tekla or Solidworks
• Strong knowledge of construction industry and construction practices
