About the Job

The Senior Manager-Scientific Affairs is responsible for providing scientific oversight for Gold Bond’s cosmetic and OTC products. This role emphasizes the innovation, assessment, and substantiation of product and ingredient claims to ensure they are grounded in robust scientific evidence. The position involves leveraging advanced scientific methodologies and technologies to validate product efficacy to ensure differentiated, credible positioning in the market.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide scientific oversight for the cosmetic and OTC product portfolio to ensure products are grounded in credible scientific evidence, differentiated product positioning, and consumer-driven end benefits.
• Strong collaboration and partnership with a cross functional team to ensure end to end scientific leadership from ideation through to launch and support of base products.
• Develop and execute strategies for differentiated claims creation and substantiation methodologies, ensuring claims are based on credible evidence and aligned with the brand purpose.
• Drive the innovation, development and review of efficacy and promotional consumer-facing claims based on actionable scientific and technical insights.
• Leverage innovative technologies and claim trends in the skincare cosmetic industry to enhance communication of product efficacy and consumer-driven benefits.
• Manage the execution and review of all clinical and safety studies to support Gold Bond products and portfolio, maintaining governance and compliance per regulations.
• Oversee the delivery and maintenance of medical and scientific information, documents and evidence supporting claims and products.
• Develop a key external expert network and establish solid relationships with relevant scientific organizations, evidence generation partners and ingredient suppliers.
• Develop capabilities to enable delivery of quality scientific and strategic stewardship and ensure simplification
• Advance the scientific underpinning for key ingredients within Gold Bond products

About You:

• MSc, Pharm.D., Ph.D., or equivalent health care-related postgraduate degree.
• At least 8-10 years of experience in the US cosmetic & OTC industry.
• In-depth knowledge of cosmetic claims language, clinical & safety substantiation
• Understand the basic framework for Pharmacovigilance processes, Toxicological assessments, and Regulatory for the cosmetic & OTC industry.
