The expectation from internal stakeholders is to have a high-performing and secured and compliant  ICT Landscape, that is timely ready for the business needs today and tomorrow.</p><p>The Software Asset Manager is part of the ICT Strategy &amp;  Governance team within Corporate ICT. This team has the purpose to support ICT in realizing its strategic ambitions.</p><p>You will be reporting into the Director ICT Strategy  &amp; Governance who is member of the ICT Leadership Team.</p><p></p><p>Job description:  </p><p>As Software Asset  Manager you are responsible for the global license desk within Corporate ICT, for licenses of customer solution IT. The license desk takes care of license management for both internal IT and customer solution IT. The purpose of the license desk is to eliminate compliance risks, as well as to  identify and harvest opportunities for savings and optimisations .</p><p>This will involve developing and executing license management strategies as well as operating and improving the license management processes together with different stakeholders in the organization. Strong focus will be the accuracy of license registration, to allow for reliable risk &amp; opportunity assessments.</p><p>Within Vanderlande we want to bring software asset management to a world class level. You have the opportunity to put your mark on this, since you will be steering software asset management to the next level.</p><p></p><p>Responsibilities &amp; Tasks:</p><p>License management strategies</p><ul><li>Develop and execute software license strategies with  stakeholders across various functions and business unit.</li><li>Develop and execute license procurement strategies to reduce compliance risks and optimize software license spends and usage  with stakeholders and vendor management functions by reviewing, technology resources, expenses, compliance, risks and purchase agreements.</li></ul><p></p><p>License desk management</p><ul><li>Manage the setup, operations and improvements of  the License Desk that:</li><li>Provides software asset management</li><li>Establishes and maintains a licensing process including ongoing control and governance along with robust communication to appropriate teams.</li><li>Connects other processes to ensure timely information of changes and new purchases are available to do proper life cycle management of licenses</li><li>Drives and ensures compliance with legislative and contractual requirements</li><li>Develops automated processes to facilitate software procurement &amp; deployment.</li><li>Liaises with all key stakeholders in the organization to embed licensing processes in our value chains.</li><li>Does Financial management of licensing budgets and cross charging</li></ul><p></p><p>Licensing Audits</p><ul><li>Lead and represent ICT in external license audits</li><li>Organize and lead internal audits for software licensing by reconciliation of usage vs entitlements, analyze results and provide action plans.</li></ul><p></p><p>Training &amp; Awareness &amp; Communication</p><ul><li>Establish and maintain regular communications with the organization’s business leaders, IT leadership, and end users regarding relevant licensing activities, developments and best practices.</li><li>Build up and maintain license knowledge about rules, calculation methods and exceptions due to commercial and technological developments in the market.</li></ul><p></p><p>Support Contract negotiation</p><ul><li>Work with IT management and procurement team to optimize software licensing agreements.</li><li>Work closely with procurement, financial, and legal departments in analyzing budgets, proposals, vendor contracts for acquisition, as well as monitoring the compliance of software assets</li><li>Represent IT in license contract negotiations, maintenance renewals, RFP’s and ongoing vendor relationship management.</li
