Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a world leader in the research, design, and manufacturing of focal plane arrays and flight-based vision systems. We have an immediate opportunity for a Sr Principal Semiconductor Product Engineer to join our team. This is a key contributor opportunity where you can utilize and expand your keen understanding of semiconductor processing, metrology, and failure analysis as well as your strong statistical analysis skills.
Focal Plane Operations at Raytheon Vision Systems is searching for a Sr. Principal Semiconductor Product Engineer that will be responsible for portfolio product management of RVS Production Space Programs. This includes maturation of manufacturing and technology readiness, semiconductor wafer and Sensor Chip Assemblies (SCA) processing, stakeholder collaboration, and project management experience. The candidate will work within a multi-discipline team to develop advanced SCAs utilizing single and dual color HgCdTe/HCT, III/V (InSb, InGaAs, SLS, nBn and others) semiconductors detector technologies. Specifically, this may include detector design, process development, manufacture and test of SCAs at the RVS Goleta wafer/SCA fabrication facility.
What You Will Do
- Significantly improve manufacturing and technology readiness levels and drive key technical decisions regarding design and processing techniques, having deep knowledge of theory and organizational practices
- Owns and develops functional strategy and operational goals leading Integrated Product Teams and working closely with Program Managers to ensure engineering requirements are defined and understood, risks/opportunities are managed, and schedules/budgets are met.
- Work under limited supervision and demonstrate expert or mastery level knowledge of the work area.
- Preparing technical justification analysis reports as well as presenting to a variety of Engineering and Program Review Boards in this customer facing role
- Actively lead and drive proposal efforts and work with business development and PMO to improve our customer base
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a STEM degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience. Or an advanced degree and 7 years of prior relevant experience.
- The Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Knowledge and understanding of any of the following: HgCdTe, III/V semiconductor or micro-bolometer (uncooled) detector physics, wafer processing in a cleanroom environment.
- Ability to understand and analyze data related to semiconductor device performance.
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Understanding of Process Yields and Analysis.
- Experience with Bids and Proposals.
- Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) Experience
- Experience with device design and modeling instruments such as MATLAB.
