TEACHING POSITION: Requires Alaska teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement (s) (for information visit: http://www.eed.state.ak.us/TeacherCertification).
Position Summary: This position is a good opportunity for anyone who enjoys teaching high school level Social Studies or English
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in education.
- Valid Alaska teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
Other Requirements:
- Master's degree in education preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience teaching high school level students is preferred.
- An emphasis is placed on the ability to develop excellent working relationships with students and colleagues.
Compensation: Salary is dependent on experience and education. The Juneau School District offers a competitive salary, an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and the Teachers Retirement System (TRS) plan.
