We’re seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our growing UX team. In this role, you will help define our next generation of SimpliSafe branded home security products and services. You will be a key player in our monitoring product area, working with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that make it easy for external and internal customers to make every home secure. Influence and contribute to our latest hardware UX and app experiences as well to deliver engaging services across all platforms.

What you do
- Partner with UX Designers, UX Researchers, Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to define, design, test, build, and launch top-notch mobile and web experiences
- Work as an UX generalist across the spectrum of UX and an expert in some. One day, you could be running a design workshop, and the next, jumping in Figma to create a prototype.
- Join user research in building an understanding of our home security user journey and translate insights into digital experiences from concepts to high-fidelity prototypes
- Design digital products and services that enhance people’s well-being, meet business needs, and work seamlessly across app and web platforms for all of our customers
- Help evolve UI components in the SimpliSafe design system
What you need for success
- Successfully designed and shipped products for SaaS and operational efficiency with a focus on service design
- A solid understanding of UX design and research principles and best practices
- A passion and expertise for distilling complexity into simplicity
- Impactful and effective communicative skills with a passion for details
- Adept storyteller, connecting the work to both user and business needs to align the team on why
- Ability to explain your rationale for design decisions that are data-informed
- Ability to support multiple squads and determine what needs to be done, why, and the best way to do it
- A nimble, no-ego working style and a curious mindset
- Experience exploring a new product or service and driving clarity from 0 customers to 1 to many
- Expertise with various design and agile process tools such as Figma, FigJam, Miro, JIRA, Adobe Creative Suite, etc
- Must have an online portfolio that highlights your design thinking and expertise
Recommended
- A degree in a design and/or human behavior-related field, such as Industrial design, Architecture, graphic design, digital media design, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Sociology, Information or Computer Science
- Experience with accessibility, UX design systems, and agile development
- Experience with hardware, software, and service design
