As an engineering Co-Op you will have the opportunity to work within a number of different teams such as Utilities, Maintenance and Capital Projects where you will have real responsibilities from day 1 and learn skills such as presenting, root cause analysis, project management and troubleshooting.
What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?
- Compilation and analysis of machine breakdown data
- Preparation of small to medium value project investment proposals
- Root cause analysis investigations of process abnormalities & breakdowns
- Implementing actions to improve workplace safety
- Management & scheduling of preventative maintenance
- Identification of energy efficiency opportunities
- Implementation of machinery safety initiatives such as interlocks & guarding to improve operator safety.
- Preparation of compliance status reports
- Working with internal customers & stakeholders across all levels at site

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity:
Education required:
- Pursuing a BS degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related field
- Have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a degree program.
- Candidate must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.
- Candidate must be eligible to work on a full-time basis during the internship duration (40 hours/week)
- 3.0 or greater cumulative GP
- Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization. Applicant must not require future sponsorship for an employment visa status.
Other requirements:
- Ability to start in July 2025.
- Candidate must be eligible to work on a full-time basis (40 hours a week) during the co-op duration (6 months)
- Provide your own funding for relocation and commuting.
- This role is onsite at our Oak Hill Site located in East Durham, NY.
- Candidate must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.
Expected start date: July 2025
The hourly rate for this role is $24.50/ hour.
