HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Launch Systems Mission Lead tasks include:
- Provides space vehicle to launch vehicle integration, manifesting, and launch expertise to the Government customer.
- Supports Launch Mission Management interface with internal and external divisions, agencies and contractors
- Management of a requirement tracking tool (Excel or data base driven) across engineering / operations / facility providers / launch vehicle contractor / Space Vehicle contractor. Integrate the requirements from a service requestor to a service provider and the verification of evidence of completion.
- Manage a change process for the requirements tracking tool.
- Organize and integrate mission readiness review meetings.
- Organize and lead ground operations working group meetings prior to missions arriving at the launch sites.
- During your assigned missions, you will be responsible for conducting a daily integrated scheduling meeting between LV / SV / Processing Facility.
- Support each client's launch campaign, throughout the launch process, by ensuring the availability of necessary Mission IT infrastructure and services as driven by satellite program and OSL requirements, including client's launch requirements
- Manage OSL Derived requirements in requirement tracking tool.
- Participate and provide input to Launch site mission scheduling for client's missions.
- Implementing Risk Management process
- Support Pathfinder or Trailblazer activities as required
- General meeting organization & action Item tracking
- Participates in special projects as required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Science STEM
● Required Experience: 5 years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Launch provider or Satellite provider: engineering, operations, integration experience. Clean room facility experience.
● Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
● Required Skills and Abilities:
- Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
- Advanced Excel (includes use of complex formulas, Pivot Tables, and charts/graphics)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Location: On Customer Site
● US Citizenship Required.
