Objective and Scope

Assist HR Manager with all departmental/Human Resource and related functions. Manage payroll and all its entirety.  Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of appropriate documentation throughout employment history for all employees.  Advises and consults management on employee and Human Resources issues in all aspects involved in Human Resource Management activities. Must have Workday experience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the administration of policies and procedures in the area of human resources including: Benefits, Safety and Health, Employee Work Rules and Regulations, Employee Orientation, and Training.     
  2.  Maintain confidentiality in all areas of human resources.
  3. Assists in coordination of Company functions, employee relations’ activities and training registration.
  4. Responsible for recruiting qualified candidates for open positions and related tasks including conducting new employee orientations and exit interviews, creating postings, conducting interviews, perform reference checks, prepare offer letters etc.
  5.  Review hourly performance appraisals.
  6. Create employee communications including presentations for Employee Meetings.
  7. Issue employee disciplines when necessary.
  8. Oversee Training for division; scheduling of, maintaining in Training Database on PC Compliance and notifications to employees.
  9. Process payroll and benefit related tasks.
  10. Provide guidance to MPTSH employees when appropriate and assist and advise Supervisors\Managers on employee issues. 
  11. Maintain current knowledge of all related employment legislations. 
  12. Assist in the development and implementation of new programs and other HR functions/ Action Plans.
  13. Assists managers/supervisors in dealing with employee issues including investigations and providing advice in managing the progressive disciplinary procedures.
  14. Coordinate and administer employee training and development.  Maintain tracking of training. Develop and present training programs/material.
  15. Prepare employee notices, letters, memorandums, and other documents as required.
  16. Prepare monthly employee meeting presentations and present as required
  17. Prepare employee meeting minutes, letters, memorandums, and other documents as required.
  18. Have a daily presence on the shop floor and provide flexible coverage across all shifts when required.
  19. Initiate and embrace company change.
  20. Responsible for promoting and seeking excellence in all aspects of business. 
  21. Strong knowledge and background with Payroll and all its entirety

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in HR field preferably in a manufacturing/production environment.   HR related certification/degree or equivalent experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Workday.  Able to recognize the position as one of a highly trusted and confidential nature.  Previous experience in recruitment and selection, training assessment, performance management, employee relations, and compensation and benefit management.  Experience with PeopleSoft preferred.  Experience with Health & Safety programs.  Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize a heavy workload.  Professional, friendly and exceptional interpersonal skills (written, verbal, listening).  Exceptional organizational skills.  Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including ability to understand, speak and write English. Working knowledge of applicable Labor Laws. Demonstrates creativity, initiative, and problem-solving skills. Team oriented work approach.  Excellent attendance and performance record. Ability to work with others in a team environment. Self-starter with a positive attitude. Ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment.

Language Skills:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure
