About the role


  This role works in collaboration with the Airport Records Manager to ensure that the airport’s vital documents and records are accurately created, maintained, and accessible throughout their lifecycle, from creation to destruction using an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
  Success Metrics: 1. Manage and maintain the organization's strategic documents 2. Ensure records are accurately categorized, securely stored, and readily accessible through an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) 3. Uphold compliance standards and quality control measures across the organization in accordance to State of Georgia Laws and Regulations.
  Supervision Received Reports to the Airport Records Manager. Direction received is very general and focuses on end results and is typically collaborative in nature.
  Essential Duties &Responsibilities ' These are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construedas exclusive or all inclusive. May perform other duties as assigned.
  • Handled administration and lifecycle management of documents and records supporting the Department of Aviation through an electronic document management system (EDMS). • Assist the Airport Records Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Records Management Unit, ensuring the highest quality and compliance to City of Atlanta Policies and the State of Georgia Laws and Regulations. • Collaborate with the Airport Records Manager to develop and revise records management policies and procedural documents. • Handle document request efficiently. • Maintain an archives document filing room in accordance with organizational standards. • Participate in cross-functional project teams. • Establish effective communication and collaborative relationships with various functional groups and key stakeholders. • Perform related duties as assigned.

Decision making is usually informed through a meaningful, collaborative process involving all stakeholders, from the Chief Strategy Officer, Airport General Manager and leadership team, employees, to subject-matter experts and external advisers
  Leadership Provided Routinely provides work group leadership, guidance, and/or training to less experienced staff.
  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities  This is a partial listing of necessary knowledges, skills, and abilities required to perform the job successfully. It is not an exhaustive list.
  • Knowledge of key concepts, processes, and tools involved in the management of an enterprise-wide document/records management system • Computer-savvy and well-versed in Microsoft Office products. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), customer service, and strong follow-up skills. • Must work collaboratively with internal and external business partners. • Experience with electronic document/records control or similar software. • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently. • Ability to prioritize, manage time well, multitask, and troubleshoot issues. • Ability to stay focused and carry out tasks in a timely and accurate manner. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in strategy management, innovation, business, project management, Information Technology or related field. • 3 years of related experience in strategy management, innovation, business, project management, Information, Technology or related field is required.
  Preferred Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in strategy management, innovation, business, project management, Information Technology or related field. • 5 years of related experience in strategy management, innovation, business, project management, Information, Technology or related field is required. • The ideal professional is enthusiastic, highly organized, extremely detailed oriented, self-driven, proficient with document control and record management processes and systems, as well as strong soft skills - clear communication skills-written and oral, great listener, and congenial.
  Licensures and Certifications No specific certifications or licensures required. However, a Document Control/Records Management Certification is preferred.
