Our main areas covered are: General Ledger Accounting, Management Accounting, Fixed and Leased Asset Accounting,Treasury and Accounts Receivable. The department is constantly expanding since our main goal is to perform end-to-end accounting activities in the near future. </p><p></p><p>The opportunity</p><p>As a Country Chief Accountant you will coordinate with RSS (Roche Services &amp; Solutions) Budapest Finance teams (Demand to Pay, Record to Report, Travel and Expense, Compliance) and execute month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts in compliance with the month-end close checklist. </p><p></p><p>R2R</p><ul><li><p>Overseeing financial accuracy and internal controls, including ICFR documentation and tools management.</p></li><li><p>Conducting balance sheet reconciliation, anomaly rectification, and ensuring timely and quality financial statement reporting / month-end closing, yearly reporting </p></li><li><p>Managing accounting aspects such as IFRS 16 Leasing, manual journal entries, and management accounting activities.</p></li><li><p>Supervising Accounts Receivables, including billings approval, debtors aging, and sales reporting accuracy.</p></li><li><p>Handling cash flow management and treasury matters, including fund forecasting, transfers, and banking transactions.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>DtP</p><ul><li><p>Handling all accounts payable related matters</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Master Data</p><ul><li><p>Managing master data - Chart of Accounts, Cost Center, Profit Center. WBS, vendor &amp; customer master data, UCI, etc.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Other</p><ul><li><p>Overseeing statutory tax calculations, reconciliation, reporting, and Tax Consultant liaison, alongside managing external financial audits</p></li><li><p>Managing financial compliance, internal controls on financial reporting </p></li><li><p>Serving as central contact for RSS Budapest Finance teams and Finance Managers in the affiliates, addressing financial issues, requests, and advisory needs</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Who you are:</p><ul><li><p>University education; preferably in Finance/Accounting related discipline, ACCA or other accounting professional qualifications will be an added advantage</p></li><li><p>8  years of experience in a related field and at least 5 years in accountant / audit role and people management experience</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of accounting principles and practices; financial reporting, audit, and taxation, including local accounting principles as advantage</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in accounting software, preferably SAP and MS Office</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated traits: meticulous, independent, proactive, and able to meet tight deadlines</p></li><li><p>Proven track record in relationship and stakeholder management across diverse groups, with strong influencing skills</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in English and French</p></li></ul><p></p><p>In exchange we provide you with:</p><ul><li><p>Development opportunities: Roche is rich in learning resources.
