This position is part of the team that drives business outcomes for a critical, enterprise data asset. The Delivery Lead on this team will drive completion of work to support, maintain, build and extend the business capabilities of this critical asset.  The demonstrated ability to quickly embed with the asset team, to establish strong trusted working relationships and to manage multiple complex workstreams are critical to success in this role.  The role will require an ability to bring strong foundational project management rigor to an environment that embodies many aspects of product / platform management.  This hybrid environment demands a confident leader who can quickly understand where to focus to drive this asset team forward in the achievement of business outcomes.  Knowledge of Nationwide’s Business and Technology organizations is a plus as this role will work extensively with partners who interact with this enterprise data asset.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Strong Project Management Foundation:  Experience managing complex information technology efforts, where a large number of business and technology teams are involved.  Solid grounding in waterfall and agile methodologies and ability to operate within a hybrid environment where variations of these and other methodologies are employed.

• Relationship Building Skills:  Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills are critical.  This ideal candidate will have the ability to quickly establish strong, trusted working relationships.

• Motivated Driver / Self-Starter:  this position requires the candidate to be a self-starter, to understand where to focus given a large number of complex project efforts in flight at any given time and to be able to drive efforts through to completion.

• Stakeholder Management: the ideal candidate will engage with stakeholders effectively, communicate project progress, address concerns, and ensure alignment with business goals.  An understanding of how to accomplish delivery in a complex, matrixed corporate environment.

• Tech Savviness:  As technology plays a significant role, being comfortable with digital tools and software is crucial. They should streamline processes and use technology efficiently.  A mastery of the technology required to engage with teams and individuals remotely.

• Facilitation Skills:  the candidate will facilitate meetings and working sessions and must have strong facilitation skills, to ensure meetings achieve planned goals and all voices are included in the process.

• Time and Priority Management:   Managing multiple tasks and priorities is essential. They must ensure projects stay on track, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.  Experience and ability to manage, track, drive and deliver many project efforts simultaneously.

• Leadership / Followership skills:  the ideal candidate will bring strong project leadership experience and also the interest and ability to learn how projects are managed and delivered at Nationwide where our processes may differ from the candidate’s previous experience.  This role will deliver projects within a product / platform environment.  The ability to functional seamlessly as part of a strong product team is critical to success in this role.

• Analytical Abilities:  The candidate should be adept at problem-solving and decision-making. Analyzing project data, identifying trends, and making informed choices are crucial.
