Sales Specialist

General Summary:

The Sales Specialist is responsible for positioning and selling specified ConnectWise solution(s) to new prospects and cross-selling to the existing customer base. This role works in partnership with the Sales team to drive revenue by generating pipeline and qualifying opportunities, then manage the sales cycle and/or assist in owning the opportunity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Sales team, with a high attention to detail • Researches, analyzes, and documents findings
  • May influence others within the Sales team through the explanation of facts, policies, and practices
  • Generate pipeline, with a focus on their solution specialty, but not limited to solely that solution(s) when appropriate
  • Owns and manages specified opportunities of solution(s) that are (but not limited to) a certain threshold of quantity of product, ACV, unique industry, and any thresholds based on rules of engagement
  • Collaborates with the Product team on Roadmap needs/prioritization that will generate future pipeline and ACV
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create content, webinars, and other lead generation initiatives or messaging
  • Assists with leading sales enablement for the sales floor of their solution(s) and/or releases that impact the value/positioning
  • Gathers thorough discovery and collaborates with cross-functional teams to demonstrate value to the prospect
  • Evaluates prospects needs and demonstrates their solution specialty to these needs to an appropriate degree
  • Follows required CRM processes, documentation, and hygiene
  • Engages and collaborates with Engineering on achieving a technical win and validation of value of the solution(s) of interest by the prospect/partner
  • Participates and presents in recurring deal review meetings in alignment with forecasting requirements
  • Meets and/or exceeds the monthly sales quota derived from the appropriate Sales Incentive Plan

  • Ability to work independently on projects and processes with general supervision
  • Practical knowledge of applicable work area
  • Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business and partner requirements
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to take a consultative approach to all interactions with prospects
  • Organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales process, including negotiating sales opportunities to closure, through a deep understanding of a prospective customer buying process
  • Proven sales track record of success with the ability to identify opportunities and leverage internal and external resources appropriately

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Preferred: Experience in relevant channels preferred: [Managed Service Providers (MSP), Value-Added Resellers (VAR), Office Equipment (OE), Technology Service Providers (TSP), Security (MSP+)] 

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
  • 10-20% travel may be required
