Please note definition differences between Intern and Co-op:
Intern: Student works full-time during the summer
Co-op: Student works part-time while school is in session. Student may work more hours during the summer if not enrolled in classes. Students may work for a minimum of one semester or longer.
Both positions are paid according to current academic standing and job classification.

What we are looking for:
Yazaki is looking for a motivated Summer Intern to join our Advanced Engineering team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization. This internship runs full-time from May 12, 2025, to August 15, 2025.
What you will be doing:
- Project Work:
- Work closely with Advanced Engineering team to evaluate new opportunities in pursuit of winning new business
- Identifying key attributes in products for the purpose of gathering data to build a model that can be used to quickly estimate harness labor cost
- Work with costing and finance team to increase model accuracy
- Hands on building of sample products for customer evaluation
- Success Metrics:
- Reduced timing in customer responses
- Documented evidence of quality controls
- Accuracy of data used for model training
