Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Track Engineer to join our Sacramento, Oakland, or Portland Offices.
JOB SUMMARY:
This is an exceptional opportunity to be involved with mega capital infrastructure transit/rail projects for our key clients such as LA Metro, SCRRA, BART, CHSRA, BNSF and UPRR. Qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate technical experience in track design. The objective of the position is to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment and provide light rail (LRT), heavy rail (HRT), commuter, freight, streetcar/trolley, and Automated People Mover (APM) design for clients. In addition, it is expected that the successful candidate in this position closely collaborates with civil/roadway, structural, and architectural design teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as a track design engineer in projects of various scale
- Supports track & civil discipline leads in major infrastructure projects
- Performs quantity take-offs for all track corridor components (track and civil)
- Participates in technical specifications writing
- Collaborates with other design disciplines
- Provides support to PM and DPM
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 5 years of industry experience working on rail/transit projects
- PE license or the ability to obtain it within 2 years
- Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley InRoads / OpenRoads / OpenRail
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley InRoads / OpenRoads / OpenRail
- Experience in working on LA Metro, SCRRA, BART, CHSRA, BNSF and UPRR projects

- Sponsorship is available for this position
- Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $88,000 - $162,000.
