(Senior) Accountant E-Commerce (m/f/d)

 

 

Your area of responsibilities:

 

• Building upon the transactions of our webshop and flagship store systems, monitoring the general ledger to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial transactions
• Regular reconciliation of general ledger accounts and resolution of discrepancies
• Posting of journals and maintenance of the chart of accounts as needed
• Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Assistance in creating financial reports for upper management and external stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements
• Key role in the month-end and year-end closing processes for consolidated financial statements
• Coordination with external auditors during the annual audit process
• Recommendation and implementation of improvements in financial accounting and reporting
• Participation in special projects related to financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and process improvements, as assigned by management

 

Your profile of qualification:

 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred
• 5+ years of experience in accounting with a focus on general ledger
• Knowledge of ERP software (FI/CO modules) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Previous experience in the "Digital-to-Customer" business and retail environments is advantageous
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant accounting principles and standards (IFRS, German HGB) and legal requirements
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Fluent in both German and English, with strong negotiation skills
