Engineer - Maintenance Technician

  Jonathan Club is an upscale, members-only, private club located in Santa Monica on the beach.

Club facilities include food & beverage outlets both casual and fine dining, luxurious meeting spaces, and a state-of-the-art athletics facility featuring wellness programs and spa services. These are the positions we will be interviewing for, please note that these positions pay an already established flat rate as they are non-gratuity-based positions.  

The Engineer / Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following: 

• Inspect, repair, and or replace fans, belts, motors, pumps, filters, other tasks as assigned.
• Responsible to maintain the like new appearance of the buildings interior and exterior multiple surface types. Wood, metal, drywall, tile, other surfaces.  
• Respond quickly to all work orders as directed by your supervisors.
• Assist the engineering team with daily repairs.
• Assist with events set up of audio visual equipment- monitors, sound mixers, microphones, speakers, power cords. 
• Maintain swimming pools water conditions and filtration equipment. daily water testing and equipment inspections log updates.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor issues with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tile and paint.

Requirements

• 2-3 years experience in general maintenance of commercial buildings and equipment. 
• Able to work in different environments of wind, rain, sun, hot or cold, cramped or tight spaces, up and down ladders or lifts, standing, stooping, sitting, climbing, lifting, push / pull medium sized equipment up to 50 lbs. 
• Able to follow instructions and complete work assignments in a professional and timely manner. 
• Must have a proactive working ethics and positive attitude and high level of respect to everyone. 
• Willing to work weekends, holidays, morning and evening hours of shifts as needed.  
• Must adhere to company dress and grooming policies. 
• Must properly use personal protection equipment and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• ability to use basic hand tools and some power tools for cutting or drilling various materials during  the completion of general repairs.

Pay Range: $24/hour - $27/hour
