Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Operate steam sterilizers, low-temperature sterilizers, and other sterilization equipment.
• Prepare instrument trays according to physician preference cards and surgical schedules.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure proper sterilization and instrument functionality.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with operating room staff and other departments to support surgical services.
• Maintain inventory and assist with stocking sterile supplies.
