Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Early Career Cyber Security Engineer Intern for the a DoD Program located in the greater Denver area, Colorado.

In this role, you will:
• Evaluate systems and designs to determine cybersecurity characteristics.
• Conduct system configuration hardening (e.g. DISA STIGs)
• Identify and conduct cybersecurity testing and risk analysis at the system and component level.
• Communicate assessment results.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of:
• General understanding of system and component functionality.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program from an accredited college in Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance

Desired skills

• Windows or Linux (e.g. Red Hat, Ubuntu)
• Scripting (e.g. Python, shell/bash, PowerShell)
• Risk Management
• DoD 8140.01/8570.01-M IAT I or IAT II certification (e.g. Security +)

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
