Job Summary 

The Clinical Care Advisor at Child and Family Services plays a critical leadership and therapeutic role in delivering high-quality, trauma-informed mental health services to children, youth, and families. This position is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and documentation of therapeutic interventions that align with the agency’s Evidence-Informed Treatment Model. The Clinical Care Advisor ensures the integration of clinical services across departments, supports therapeutic fidelity within CK Family Services, and provides direct and consultative support to both internal teams and external partners. 

The Clinical Care Advisor carries a caseload for utilization review, treatment planning, and therapeutic oversight. Key responsibilities include administering CANS/ANSA assessments, facilitating child and family team meetings, offering professional development and training, and contributing to agency-wide clinical initiatives and community engagement. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and responsiveness to emergent client needs, including on-call consultation and crisis intervention support. 

General Responsibilities  

Maintain a clinical caseload and conduct ongoing utilization and treatment reviews in alignment with best practices and compliance standards. 

Oversee coordination of assessments and ensure comprehensive, individualized treatment and service plans are developed, updated, and implemented. 

Integrate therapy services within the agency’s Evidence-Informed Treatment Model, ensuring fidelity to program goals and therapeutic approaches. 

Ensures treatment/therapy documentation is in the chart for all providers involved  

Ensure timely, complete, and accurate documentation of all treatment services and therapeutic interventions. 

Oversee and approve service plans, treatment plans, and update with specific goals delineating clinical intervention unique to the Individual as appropriate 

Provide direct consultation and crisis response support on-site or via phone/video, including scheduled on-call availability as required by service package protocols. 

Deliver trauma-informed education, training, and guidance to clients, staff, and families to strengthen clinical outcomes and caregiver competency. 

Offer clinical support to internal departments and families, promoting the application of therapeutic best practices across service lines. 

Collaborate with agency teams to review therapeutic tools and practices, providing evidence-based recommendations for implementation.

Contribute to agency-wide mental health awareness initiatives and respond to clinical requests from executive leadership. 

Represent CK Family Services in external clinical and community forums as needed to support service integration and community partnerships. 

Utilize appropriate, research-supported clinical theories in therapeutic decision-making and treatment implementation. 

Collect, analyze, and document clinical data with accuracy and consistency to support outcome-driven care and quality assurance. 

Support professional development of clinicians and case managers through modeling, strategy consultation, resource development, and service plan execution. 

Expand the clinical product of CK Family Therapy 

Administer and interpret standardized assessments such as the CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths) or ANSA (Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment) as required. 

Conduct clinical assessments to support diagnostic formulation and service planning. 

Promptly report critical incidents to leadership and contribute to development and implementation of corrective action plans. 

Participate in Child and Family Team meetings, multidisciplinary clinical meetings, and administrative agency meetings as appropriate. 

Lead or facilitate training sessions to promote skill development and clinical excellence. 

Manage documentation and communications, including timely responses to emails, calls, and agency correspondence.
