What we want  

The Research Associate is responsible for assisting with all aspects of mammalian cell culture and downstream assays including protein and nucleic acids assays. In addition, the Research Associate will be responsible for the maintenance of cleanliness in the lab, lab equipment and inventory and ordering of lab supplies.

Salary: Will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • Two years of related experience in specialized and relevant field of research.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in biological science.

  • Minimum of 2 years laboratory experience.

  • Experience with cell cultures, histology, and molecular biology.

  • Animal handling experience working with mice.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain professional working relationships.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

  • Knowledge of lab room preparation and lab techniques and safety.

  • Willing to work with laboratory animals

  • Ability to work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab and follow all guidelines.

  • Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines.

  • Ability to pay attention to detail, keep accurate and up to date research records, maintain equipment
