Occupational Summary
Coordinate and participate in the planning and management of regulatory, data collection, maintenance, and publication systems to assist investigators in project-related activities.
Work Performed
Plan, implement and coordinate systems designed for the collection, storing, cleaning, and dissemination of data related to specific global health research projects as required to assist principal investigators (PIs).
Maintain relationships with project internal and external collaborators, including researchers, project staff, learners (in Brazil and Tanzania) as well as other interested parties to coordinate the various aspects of projects. Coordinate the collection and dissemination of related data as needed.
Under the instruction of study investigators, edit, format and maintain documents such as:
- Grant proposals
- Manuscripts (including online submissions)
- Presentations
- Data Collection Tools
- Collaborator CVs and Biographical Sketches
- Regulatory binders
- Study protocols
Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, trends and appropriate recommendations, and conclusions as requested, related to sponsored projects.
Secure rooms for meetings, schedule team meetings, manage calendars for investigators, attend meetings, take and distribute notes, coordinate AV and videoconferencing for meetings.
Maintain financial documentation and reconcile project expenditures.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein, and maintain Duke and project-specific training requirements to complete these tasks.
