X-Ray Technologist - Berkshire Medical Center, Radiology - 7a-11:30p weekends, 32 hours

About the role
Job Summary
Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or Urgent Care Director. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist. Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications. Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required. In addition to the primary diagnostic Radiology tasks, this technologist will several duties throughout the Urgent Care area. These include but are not limited to: Obtaining Vitals, Answering Phones, performing point of care testing(Urine Analysis, Rapid Strep, Rapid Flu, EKG, Breathing Treatment, other associated Medical Assistant tasks), apply medical equipment(crutches, ace wraps etc.), drawing blood, assist provider with procedures, register patients, and order supplies.

Experience
- Minimum of Student Training
Education
- Must have completed formal AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.
License & Certifications
- MALIC – Massachusetts Radiology License
- ARRT(RTR) - Registered Technologist Radiography within one year of hire.
- CPR - CPR is required.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work intensive environment.
- Attendance at all mandatory education is required.

- 7AM-11:30PM Saturday and Sunday
