Salary: Up to $135,000 + 10% performance bonus (DOE & Geographic Location)

About the Role:  

We are looking for a Salesforce Technical Lead to join our Services team. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting mission-critical tasks and applications for our internal engineers, ensuring exceptional technical support, consultancy, and timely issue resolution. As part of our organization, you'll need a versatile skill set to manage a broad range of responsibilities within our client's Commerce Engineering products. Responsibilities:  

Technical Leadership 

  • Architecture and Design: When applicable, define the technical architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Create design documents if necessary. 
  • Code Quality: Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices are followed. 
  • Technical Decisions: Make critical decisions regarding frameworks, libraries, and technologies, balancing innovation with requirements. 
  • Problem-Solving: Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, providing guidance and hands-on support when needed. 
  • Ownership (in conjunction w/SDM) of Practice Collectives: Lead and own practice area collective, for the appropriate technical expertise. 
  • Diff Review: Lead and own the diff review process within the practice area collective. 

Project Management 

  • Team Metrics: Monitor and report on team metrics.   
  • Deployment Frequency: How often does the team deliver code to production.   
  • Work in Progress (WIP): Number of tasks actively being worked on by the team.  Limiting WIP means better focus and less context switching. 
  • Throughput, Velocity and Sprint Burndown: Number of tasks completed within a specific period. Planned work vs. Completed work in a sprint. 
  • Cycle Time: Time taken from the start of work on a task to its completion.  Shorter cycles of time often indicate efficient workflows. 
  • Defect Density: Number of bugs per line of code or features delivered.  Lower defect density indicates higher code quality. 
  • Escaped Bugs: Number of bugs found in production after release. 
  • Code Churn: Frequency of code changes after initial commit of code.  Excessive churn may indicate unclear requirements. 
  • Developer Satisfaction: Measured via surveys or check-ins. 
  • Manage Sprint Board: Moving tasks, ensuring equitable distribution of tasks.  Backlog management, and ticket hygiene prior to assignment. 
  • Commenting Best Practice: Ensure team is commenting in accordance with our corporate policy.  
  • Planning and Estimation: Collaborate with stakeholders to break down features and estimate timelines. 
  • Sprint Leadership: Lead sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and ensure smooth Agile or Scrum workflows.
