ABOUT THE TEAM

The Compliance Function is responsible for supporting defining, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive control and monitoring framework for all Control Functions of Trade Republic. The key objective is to ensure that the Control Functions apply consistent terminology, standards and processes for risk control and risk reporting. This includes the establishment of an Internal Control System (ICS) framework and monitoring of adherence to its requirements. The integration of the overall control framework of Trade Republic, especially related to Operational Risk, Business Continuity Management, Compliance and Security is the main task.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• You will work together with our international Expansion Team and Compliance Management to bring our services into the European markets and ensure group-wide standards
• You will be the point of contact for the Country Management Team in newly addressed countries to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements 
• Act as interface for national and international regulatory authorities to drive innovation in the market and support with relevant national and international regulators
• Collaborate with the business colleagues in order to maintain and continuously develop the controls to protect the business from relevant compliance risks
• Assist our teams in building our business in other European countries
  
• Prepare, organize and conduct customized compliance training sessions
• You will be responsible for the continuous development of policies and procedures related to all compliance matters, including anti-money laundering, investment services and cryptocurrencies
• Provide compliance support to the business in their activities to enhance the product offering for our clients

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 4 years of professional experience in a Compliance, Legal or Regulatory position 
• Interest in the financial services sector preferably in banking and capital markets, with relevant experience in AML, MiFID and related regulatory requirements
• Good business acumen and proven ability to work and communicate effectively and cross-functionally with managers and employees at all levels
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain flexibility in fast-paced, changing environment 
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address conflict and difficult issues in a professional, assertive and proactive manner
• Fluency in English essential, business proficiency in at least one other European language
