Sr. Mobile UX Designer

About the Role:  We are seeking a talented and experienced Mobile UX Designer with a demonstrable experience of designing iOS applications to join our team in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual who is eager to contribute to innovative projects and drive user-centered design solutions. We require a candidate at this level to have strong interpersonal and listening skills, critical thinking with a business aptitude, and the ability to handle multiple tasks while iterating quickly. You will collaborate daily with a diverse set of specialists, including web designers, solution engineers, project managers, business stakeholders and developers to deliver engaging digital experiences. This is an on-site position for a role based in Downtown Houston, Texas.    Responsibilities: 

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in UX design 
• Experience with large cross-functional teams 
• Experience designing for large, complex, digital application projects 
• Understanding of iOS Human Interface Guidelines 
• Fluency with iOS design language 
• Experience working with iOS developers 
• Proficiency in designing and prototyping in Figma 
• Strong typographic and data visualization skills 
• Strong communication skills 
• BFA in Design or a related field preferred 
• Must work from Downtown Houston location 5 days per week 
• Background in the Oil & Gas industry is a plus, but not required 

Requirements: 

• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to design intuitive, usable, and engaging mobile experiences. 
• Gather requirements and analyze data to inform design decisions. 
• Quickly iterate on design solutions based on feedback and changing requirements, ensuring the final product meets user needs and business goals. 
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions.   
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and user-centered design approach. 
• Ability to travel (~once/month) with team as needed, depending on project requirements. 
• Plan and conduct usability tests to gather feedback on design iterations and refine solutions based on user feedback. 
• Create and maintain design documentation and specification to hand off to development team. 
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented design team.
