Monitor Technician - Full Time - Fri, Sat, Sun Nights

The Monitor Technician/Administrative Support Staff, under the direction of the Director, monitors telemetry on a continuous basis and documents rhythms according to policy and procedure. This individual provides clerical support and maintains a clean, safe and quiet environment in support of patient comfort and contentment. The Monitor Technician may perform duties associated with certain sections, units, and departments within the hospital and promotes the practice of family-centered care. He/she works cooperatively with the medical staff and other hospital staff who support the care of the adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
 

The qualified candidate will possess the following:

A. Education
1. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required
2. Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Course, Monitor Technician Certification Course and test, or Certified Emergency Medical Technician Course (Paramedic)

B. Licensure/Certification
1. Completion of CPR Course B (Heartsaver) within one year
2. BCLS encouraged
