Security Officer - South San Francisco - Full Time

We are currently seeking an experienced Resilience Officer with high integrity and professionalism who can join our team here in the Bay Area. You'll work directly with supervisors and managers, prioritizing swift and decisive action during emergencies (medical and non-medical) to support top Silicon Valley clients. You'll conduct investigations of and document internal incidents, emergencies, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.

To be successful in this position, you must be able to handle the physical demands of the role and the activity required as part of the static or foot patrol responsibilities of the various positions. While fostering a diverse and supportive team, this Resilience Officer role focuses heavily on direct security operations and emergency response with a customer-service approach. The compensation Rate for this position is: $23:80 p/h

We are seeking Security Professionals for Grave (Mid) Shift

What You Will Do

• Conduct routine patrols or remain static within your assigned area.

• Monitor access points and report any suspicious activity to the Security Operations Center.

• Respond to emergencies or calls for service by following established protocols and exercising good judgment.

• Report any accidents, incidents, or suspicious activity to a supervisor.

• Verify identification for authorized personnel entering the building.

• Maintain clear and concise logs of security events and observations during your shift in the form of Incident Reports or Daily Activity Reports.

• Provide a courteous and professional welcome to visitors at the front desk.

• Assist employees and visitors with basic inquiries and directions.

• Maintain a professional demeanor and build rapport with colleagues and building occupants.

• De-escalate situations by following established protocols and report any concerns to a supervisor.

• Work independently within your assigned area and follow instructions from supervisors.

What is Required

• Must be eligible for employment within the United States.

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old per state licensing guidelines.

• Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening (Surefox will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all requirements of State and local laws, regulations or codes).

• Must live within driving distance or be willing to relocate.

• Must have a current BSIS guard card or be eligible to qualify for a guard card.

• Must have a high school degree or equivalent.

• Must have a current CPR & First Aid certification or be eligible to qualify for a certification.

• Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.

• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.

• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to work independently and as a team member.

• Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time.

• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.

What is Preferred

• Military background is strongly preferred.

• Security or law enforcement related experience preferred. 

Report writing experience preferred.
