Effectors Logistics has an opening for a Senior Logistics Manager. This is one of five Tucson based Sr Manager positions within Effectors Logistics that support GFP Stores, Rita Road Operations, Tucson Airport Operations, our Integrated Test Facility, as well as Traffic. This team works as one group toward common goals while being accountable to their own defined responsibilities. Each of these leaders can anticipate an opportunity to rotate within the group to gain knowledge across Effectors Logistics Operations. This position is responsible for leadership of our Airport Logistics, outside of ITF, and Rita Road Material Handling activities but works closely with all explosive site locations within the Effectors footprint.   

This position requires coordination with Manufacturing Operations, Logistics, the Property Organization, Production Control as well as DMCA to accomplish cross functional goals. The successful candidate will possess leadership and organizational skills necessary to lead a team through complex problems.

A strong understanding of Raytheon’s System Application Product (SAP) based business management system (PRISM) and movement system will facilitate the analysis need to support daily decision making and examination of the team’s performance.  Background with classified and explosive material storage, management and handling will support a smooth transition to the role.

What you will do:

• Guiding the exempt team on our purpose to ensure daily activities tie to a clear vision. Ownership of the daily operations personnel in the defined area. Evaluate resource allocations in partnership with your leadership team to support priorities across all responsibilities from receipt through material delivery.

• Lead a team of exempt level leaders to deliver accurate on time inventory to our factories. Define and work within control limits that enable visibility and quick responses to issues as they arise.

• Work cross functionally to ensure the accuracy of both the physical and systematic attributes of inventory, as it moves across multiple sites and stakeholders that you interact with.

• Labor, Technology and Capital planning across our Logistics Team in close collaboration with SCM, Finance, and Manufacturing Operations stakeholders.

• Consistent partnership with all Effector Manufacturing site locations in addition to Rita Road, Airport, and GFP Stores Operations to ensure Logistics delivers on both GFP and Production priorities for our customers.

• Validate their leadership team has routines utilizing our CORE framework in place to ensure employees are compliant to all safety, security, and fundamentals to our Logistics process responsibilities.

• Fundamental knowledge of regulations that govern Government Owned Material, ID Property, Production, CAM and Company Owned Material.

• Travel up to 10% of time to support additional sites and to align work across the Raytheon Logistics teams.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 8 years of relevant experience.

• Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning system in a Warehouse and Distribution environment, may include IM and WM background.

• Experience leading teams in a warehouse or explosive storage environment.
