Job Description

We are looking for an Associate Producer to join our NBC News Studios original podcasts team. The AP will work closely with podcast hosts and producers to conceptualize whole shows as well as individual episodes, including coming up with pitches and assisting with booking. The AP will know how to edit and mix audio and take the lead in editing simple interview podcasts. They will also assist other producers in editing and mixing more complex shows, and should have a deep interest in news and politics.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research
  • Direct recordings in the studio
  • Write draft scripts
  • Locate, organize and edit audio clips from news sources and the NBC archives
  • Listen to the work of other producers and provide feedback 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 2 years of audio production experience, preferably in podcasting

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to work varied shifts as news changes
