The Role
We are looking for a senior cloud security architect to join our team and help us design, implement, and maintain secure cloud solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring that our cloud infrastructure and applications are compliant with industry standards and best practices, as well as our security policies and procedures. You will also be involved in conducting security assessments, audits, and reviews, as well as providing guidance and support to other teams on cloud security issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr. Cloud Security Architect responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Design and implement cloud security architectures and solutions for Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Defender XDR platforms.
- Develop and maintain cloud security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Perform cloud security risk assessments and audits, and remediate any findings.
- Monitor and respond to cloud security incidents and events, and coordinate with other teams as needed.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other cloud security engineers and analysts.
- Research and evaluate new cloud security technologies and trends, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on cloud security matters.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in cloud security, preferably in Microsoft Azure.
- Expert knowledge of cloud security concepts, principles, and best practices.
- Proficient in PowerShell and other scripting languages.
- Experience with Entra ID, Defender XDR, Proofpoint, or similar cloud security tools and platforms.
- Strong understanding of conditional access policies and other cloud security controls.
- Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, or CISSP are preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to explain complex problems clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for learning and improving.
