Who You'll Work With:
AB Private Credit Investors (“AB-PCI”) is the private corporate credit investing platform of AB primarily offering direct lending capabilities to middle-market companies across various industry sectors. AB-PCI focuses on directly sourced and privately negotiated investments in the primary issue market, while selectively pursuing opportunities in the distributed and secondary loan markets on a relative value basis. AB-PCI pursues a flexible mandate designed to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns by investing in unitranche, first lien and second lien debt as well as selectively structured preferred stock and private equity co-investments. Target companies typically have robust business models, strong competitive positions, sustainable enterprise value and predictable cash flow profiles. The group maintains a strong credit culture and pursues a highly selective investment process based on fundamental due diligence and a focus on transaction terms and documentation.
AB-PCI is led by relatively tightly knit group of seasoned senior investment professionals with strong industry background and credit investing track-record. The group maintains a cohesive culture and values teamwork, collaboration and contribution of individual team members.
AB-PCI is looking for a professional reporting into the group’s COO and working in partnership with AB-PCI’s portfolio management / valuation and middle office teams as well as AB’s Global Fund Administration (“GFA”), business development and product development teams. In this role, you will support the growing business and team. AB-PCI has grown significantly over recent years and high caliber talent is needed to help support continued business growth, improve processes and scale operations. The role will provide exposure to all aspects of fund accounting and will provide opportunity for growth as the team continues to grow and take on more responsibilities.
What You'll Do:
Review and approval of monthly fund financials and reporting from TPAs, in partnership with GFA including income, fee and expense calculations, investor distributions, and expense payments
Assisting AB’s GFA and middle office teams with quarterly / annual financial reporting and audits
Near-term revenue and return forecasts for management and investors, including commentary and drivers as well as actual revenue and returns analysis for management and investors, including any explanation of deviation from forecasts / estimates
Performance reporting and forecasting
Drive projects for automation and process improvements as relates to fund investor reporting, PnL explain and forecasting, performance reporting, amongst others
New strategies / funds and changes to strategies / funds - evaluating all aspects of proposals to identify issues and solutions to launch
What We're Looking For:
Finance and Accounting experience is required; CPA is a plus
Experience in the middle market loan / private alternatives industry preferable
Microsoft Office application proficiency (advanced Excel skills a plus)
The ability to effectively prioritize to work and adapt in a fast and challenging environment where priorities can change daily
The ability to be team oriented – someone who works collaboratively with teammates and other AB teams, exhibiting a one firm mindset
Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
Someone who has high attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy and responsiveness
The ability to commute to our office in Austin, TX
