About the role

The Maintenance Technician’s primary focus will be assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of Ford Center. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager.

Job Duties:

• Assist with building preparation for all events (including major events) and daily operations
• Assist in facility maintenance and preventative maintenance work as assigned
• Work with contractors and service providers to ensure safety and efficiency
• Serve as facility operations representative for events at the facility
• Repair systems and equipment as needed
• Assist with all repairs and installation activities
• Check HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure functionality
• Assist with inventory management
• Track facility work orders and expenses
• Able to work within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Ensure a safe, clean, and friendly environment for guests, participants, and staff
• Help maintain cleanliness of the facility; uphold high standards for safety and appearance
• Perform other functions and activities across all DCFC owned properties as directed

Qualifications:

• Degree in a related area of study or relevant certifications preferred
• 2+ years of experience in facility operations at a venue of a similar size preferred
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Able to understand, troubleshoot, and repair systems, equipment, and tools
• Experience with equipment inventory and CMMS system preferred
• Experience with building management systems and lighting controls preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
• Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple projects
• Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure
• Able to work well within a team environment, offering assistance and support to team members whenever necessary
• Able to balance internal priorities with client expectations
• Position requires the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach with hands or arms, twist, turn, and climb stairs.
• Position requires the ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds.
• Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays (including on-call duties) across all DCFC owned properties as directed
