Mine Maintenance Supervisor (F/M/X)
About the role
- Our Mine Maintenance department, composed of approximately 64 people, is integrated with the Mine Operations and Mine Utility teams and focuses on safe and reliable operation and minimal downtime of all mine assets in collaboration with the overall mine production budget.
- As a Mine Maintenance Supervisor, you will effectively manage the Mine Maintenance department while ensuring development, implementation, and execution of the department’s strategic plan for safe, reliable, and cost effective operation of the mine. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the Solmax (Maintenance Excellence) transformation and have a positive impact on the organization while working to improve the employee experience.
- You will be accountable for:
- Ensuring effective use of manpower and equipment availability at optimum cost in support of current production plans
- Assures the continuous and efficient production of ore by managing all aspects of mine equipment facilities repair and maintenance.
- Plans, organizes and schedules maintenance functions within established cost performance and safety standards.
- Works closely with the maintenance foreman and planners and inspires and stimulates subordinates to maximize productivity by developing skills.
- Directs activities of mine maintenance foremen. .
- We offer at-will employment based on site working a 4/10 schedule
About you
- Prior experience in maintenance of underground mining equipment with five to ten years supervisory experience.
- Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience; Certified with the State of Wyoming, Federal Mine Foreman and Mine Examiner papers required.
