As an Operating Room Integration (ORI) Sales Specialist at STERIS, you’ll play a critical role in delivering surgical suite integration and customer solutions across a broad Midwest territory. This is a remote, customer-facing role where you’ll lead ORI-specific initiatives, partner with regional Account Managers, and help hospitals design and implement state-of-the-art integrated OR environments.
This is a remote based Customer facing position. To support and service our Customers in this assigned territory candidates must be based out of one of the following state/cities. Twin-Cities in Minnesota. Territory Coverage: MN, ND, SD, NE, MO, KS, IA, WI, most of IL (excluding Chicago)
What will you do as an ORI Sales Specialist:
- Drive ORI Revenue: Own the ORI pipeline and work collaboratively with Account Managers to meet regional sales goals.
- Customer Solutioning: Lead the technical presentation of integration solutions and finalize proposals tailored to customer needs.
- Territory Planning: Develop and maintain a strategic plan to meet/exceed quarterly MBOs; adjust in partnership with your ORI Sales Leader.
- Technical Pre-Sales Support: Assist in product demonstrations and support Account Managers with solution positioning.
- RFP Management: Lead the end-to-end RFP process — review, compile, submit, and ensure compliance with internal approval workflows.
- Quote & Order Accuracy: Ensure all quotes, POs, and supporting documentation reflect exact customer requirements.
Customer Onboarding: Deliver customer training and in-servicing during and after installation; conduct follow-up walkthroughs and quality checks. - Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competing technologies and tactics; provide market insights to marketing, leadership, and the sales force.
- Cross-Functional Support: Coordinate with hospital IT, design, project management, and install teams to deliver fully integrated solutions.
- Continuous Learning: Provide training to field sales on OR integration trends, technologies, and workflow impact.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years capital equipment sales experience (3+ years in surgical suite integration strongly preferred)
- Clinical operating room experience
- Strong AV/IT technology interest and aptitude
- Willingness to travel overnight up to 70%
- Compliant with hospital credentialing standard
Preferred
- Medical device or capital sales experience in OR and SPD environments
- Proven success selling AV/IT solutions or integration systems
- Understanding of IDNs, GPOs, and hospital purchasing processes
- Experience navigating complex, multi-departmental hospital sales cycles

Pay range for this opportunity is $80,000.00 - $112,087.50.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
