Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Folder/Cutter/Stitcher Equipment Operator in our Fridley-MN facility who is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining folding equipment while ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards. You will play a crucial role in daily operations and contributing to production goals.

Your Responsibilities:

• Setup, operate, and monitor complex folding/Cutting/Stitching machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules

• Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to identify potential issues before they impact production

• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime

• Train and mentor new and existing employees on machinery operation, safety protocols, best practices, and quality expectations

• Delegate tasks effectively to enhance team productivity and maintain a smooth workflow

• Serve as a positive role model, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability

• Provide regular updates to the Production Supervisor on equipment status, production metrics, and any issues encountered

• Maintain accurate and detailed records related to equipment performance, production output, and maintenance activities

• Ensure compliance with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental regulations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all departmental policies and procedures

• Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consistently and correctly

• Maintain accurate data entry for time keeping, job costing, and MRP job tracking

• Ability to setup of equipment for new products and complex projects

• Materials management – request materials required to maintain productivity

Your Shift:

• Monday- Friday, 5:45 am - 2:15pm

You Must Have:    

• Machine Operation experience, preferably with folding/cutting/stitching equipment

• Ability to comprehend number sequencing and recognize errors

• Ability to work with numbers

• Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance

• Ability to follow written and verbal directions

• Has good mechanical aptitude

• Ability to work overtime as needed

• Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects

• Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment

• Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees

• Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal

• Reacts to change productively and handles other tasks assigned

• A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods
