Job Summary
The Assistant Marketing Manager, Category Marketing for the Makeup division plays a critical role in supporting and executing comprehensive marketing communications. This position is responsible for ensuring precision in asset lists, communications, and campaign compositions. The role involves pulling relevant insights and data to support campaign strategy development and executing brand and SKU campaigns from briefing through final implementation. The core mission of this role is to utilize Sephora's platforms to celebrate all forms of beauty, inspiring everyone to be an active part of the beauty community and conversation - with a special focus on those who have been historically unappreciated, overlooked, and underserved.
Responsibilities
- Campaign Support and Planning (30% of time)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish comprehensive 360-degree marketing plans
- Develop strategies spanning in-store (fixtures, collateral), digital (site, email, social, video), and external/media channels (programmatic, custom content)
- Brand and SKU Launch Activation (25% of time)
- Lead and manage launch activations
- Coordinate with Creative and Editorial teams or agencies to deliver campaign objectives
- Ensure compelling copy and visuals across all marketing channels
- Brand Communication and Partnerships (25% of time)
- Partner with Brand Marketing to ensure seamless and timely communication
- Build reciprocal partnerships across a matrixed organization, including:
- Media teams
- Merchandising/Brand Marketing
- Creative teams
- Store Marketing
- Store Education
- Loyalty programs
- Analytics teams
- Marketing Strategy and Execution (10% of time)
- Understand and leverage Sephora's marketing vehicles
- Help build client journey and marketing plans aligned with best practices
- Support managers in developing communication plans for digital and Sephora Story campaigns

Qualifications
- 4+ years of marketing experience
- 3-4 years of multi-channel marketing skills (store, digital, social media, advertising)
- Preferred experience in agency, retail, and/or beauty industry
